Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team will finish up the regular season on the road this Wednesday and Thursday at Minot State and the University of Mary. Each dual is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. from both Minot and Bismarck.
The Wolves are coming off a 1-1 weekend at home with a 25-23 victory over Dickinson State.
Tyler Stenberg and
Joe Gomez led the team with two victories apiece. The duo tallied the team's lone victories versus No. 16 Minnesota State in NSIC action.
Carson Henry,
Matt Bettencourt, and
Blake Perryman each added to their win columns on Saturday versus the Blue Hawks. The trio each won by fall, with Henry recording the quickest fall of the day, just 59 seconds into the match. Gomez and Stenberg are ranked nationally at No. 7 and No. 8 in their respectively weight classes.
About Minot State- The Beavers enter the week 4-13 overall 0-7 in NSIC action
- Marcus Polak is ranked fifth in the NSIC this season at 157 pounds, after taking third at the NDSU Bison Open
- Mitchell Eull is also ranked fifth in the league at 285 pounds with a second place finish at the NDSU Bison Open
- Tanner Crissler sits sixth in the league at 141 pounds with a 4
th place finish at the NDSU Bison Open

About U-Mary- The Marauders enter the week 6-11 overall and 1-5 in league duals, with their lone league victory over Minot State
- The Wolves defeated the Marauder 29-21 earlier this season in non-conference action
- Josh Jensen is ranked third in the NSIC at 125 pounds
- Tate Barnhardt is sitting fourth in the league at 133 pounds
- Rudy Guillen is ranked second in the league at 141 pounds, and won the NDSU Bison Open earlier this season
- Mary is led by head coach Adam Aho in his third season with the program
