Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University men's basketball team will play their first NSIC road games of the season this weekend at Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. The Wolves will tip-off with the Beavers at 8 p.m. on Friday, and with the Golden Eagles at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The Wolves enter the weekend with a 1-2 record in conference games with a win over Minot State last Friday. NSU tallied two close games in the first full week of NSIC play, defeating the Beavers by four points, and falling to U-Mary by two points. Northern is shooting 50.4% from the floor, 43.6% from the arc, and 73.6% from the foul line, while averaging 84.1 points, 36.3 rebounds, 13.8 assists, 14.4 turnovers, 3.2 steals, and 3.1 blocks per game this season.
Mack Arvidson continues to lead the team averaging 19.3 points (174 total points), making on average 4.4 3-pointers per game.
Logan Doyle is leading the team on the boards averaging 8.7 per game (78 total), including 2.6 offensive boards and 6.1 defensive boards. Despite their 1-2 record, Northern is third in the league in scoring offense and in field goal percentage, and second in the NSIC in 3-point field goal percentage.
