Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team concludes the regular season tomorrow on the road versus MSU Moorhead. The Wolves and Dragons will kick-off at 1 p.m. from Scheels Field in a match-up of two 6-4 teams.
Northern enters the final week of the season after recording the programs first undefeated home season in 30 years. The Wolves also set the single game school record with 66 points scored against the Golden Eagles.
Stephen Erlandson rushed for 104 yards and tallied two touchdowns, his firsts of the year, and averaged 17.3 yards per carry with a 42 yard long. Erlandson added 28 yards off kickoff returns for 132 total yards in the game.
Channing Barber has lengthened his NSIC lead with 17 passes defended this season, including 13 break-ups and four interceptions.
Nicholas Truen moved into the top-5 in the league averaging 91.8 yards per game rushing with 918 total yards and eight touchdowns this season.
Nathan Shaw sits second in the league with nine made field goals, completing 90% of his attempts. The NSU defense is third in the league in opponent 1st down conversions and fourth in the league in opponent 3rd down conversions. The Wolves offensive line is tied for first in the league with just ten sacks suffered, losing a league low of 64 yards.
