Bemidji, Minn. – The Northern State University soccer team was defeated this afternoon on the road, falling to Bemidji State 2-0. With the loss, the Wolves drop to 4-6-0 and 2-6-0 in the NSIC, while the Beavers improve to 8-3-0 overall and 6-2-0 in league play.
Both teams were slow to get an offensive momentum going, as the match remained scoreless until the 70
th minute of action. Bemidji State's Melanie Peltier connected for her first collegiate goal to put the Beavers up 1-0. With ten seconds left in the match, BSU sealed their victory with an additional goal.
In the 2-0 loss, Northern State was outshot 23-1. Bemidji State tallied nine shots on pace for goal, while the Wolves came up short in the 90 minute match. The Wolves recorded three corner kick attempts, while the Beavers finished with nine total.
Kay Hernandez nabbed the lone shot for NSU.

Justine Charles recorded six saves with two goal allowed.

th to take on the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles at 1 p.m..
