Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team will continue NSIC action tomorrow at Southwest Minnesota State. The Wolves and Mustangs are set to face-off at 7:30 p.m. from Marshall.
Northern enters the dual after a difficult home weekend versus No. 8 Upper Iowa and No. 2 St. Cloud State. The Wolves are currently 5-9 in duals this season and 0-3 in the NSIC.
Joe Gomez led the team with a pair of victories and was named the NSU Athlete of the Week. Gomez is currently ranked second in the region and first in the league at 197-pounds and is 12-2 in dual competition.
Tyler Stenberg came away with a victory versus the Peacocks and is sitting third in both the region and NSIC at 149-pounds and is 8-1 in dual competition.

- SMSU is currently ranked 14
th in the region and tallies one regionally ranked wrestler in Cole Wilson at 285-pounds
- Kyle Begin ranks fifth in the league at 174-pounds, while Wilson is third at 285-pounds
- Southwest is led by head coach Jesse Nelson in his ninth season with the program. Nelson has tallied a dual record of 46-50-1 in his eight seasons with the Mustangs
