Aberdeen, S.D.- After a successful weekend, the Northern State soccer team heads north to Jamestown to take on the Jimmies at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. After recording two 2-1 victories over Spring Hill College and Southwest Baptist this past weekend, the Wolves are ready to keep the momentum going on the road for their final non-conference game. Northern will then travel to Moorhead, Minn. to face off against the Dragons in their first conference matchup of the 2015 season. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The 2-0 Wolves tallied four goals in their first two matches, coming off the quick feet of
Taven Morrison,
Allie Macdonald,
Sydney Shintaffer, and Darian Leschewksi. NSU's midfielder,
Allie Macdonald, led the way with seven total shots, four shots on goal, and a .571 shots on goal percentage. On the defensive end, goalkeeper
Stacey Cavill, was solid in the net. She recorded ten saves for an overall save percentage of .833.
Northern State looks to hit the road against the Jimmies to protect their undefeated record at Rollie Greeno Field.
About University of Jamestown The Jamestown Jimmies will be taking on the Northern State Wolves after starting the season with a 1-2-1 record. Jamestown ended the 2014 season with an overall record of 7-8-3. Early this season, they have recorded 7 goals, led by Monica Noria and Connie Contreras, with two apiece. The Jimmies are coached by former NSU soccer graduate assistant,
Nick Becker. He is in his third year as the Jamestown head coach.
