Sioux Falls, S.D. – In their second victory of the weekend, the Northern State University soccer team topped Southwest Baptist 2-1 in a neutral site contest. The Wolves improve to 2-0 on the year, as the Bearcats fall to 0-2.
Darian Leschewski started things off for the Wolves in the opening minutes of play. Leschewski was served up by
Kay Hernandez and connected with net for the first score of the game. Northern led the entire first half, tallying three shots in the period.
Southwest Baptist answered back in the 72
nd minute, tying the game at one all. It didn't take long for the Wolves to come back off the foot of senior
Allie Macdonald. Macdonald took a shot form six yards out and connected with net in the 78
th minute of play.

Stacey Cavill earned her second win of the year in 90 minutes of play. Cavill recorded eight saves and one goal against in the win.
The Wolves found their opportunities and took advantage, as the Bearcats tallied 19 shots and eight corner kicks to Northern's six shots and one corner.
NSU is back in action Wednesday on the road versus Jamestown. Game time is set for 5 p.m. between the Wolves and the Jimmies.
