Jamestown, N.D.- The Northern State soccer team suffered their first loss of the season in overtime against the Jamestown Jimmies Wednesday on the road. The Wolves fall to 2-1 and the Jimmies improve to 2-2-1 on the season.
Jamestown scored first in the contest, midway through the 24
th minute of play. After being shutout in the first half, Wolves' defender
Alison Byrd, scored off the
Karli Harney assist in the 79
th minute of the game. Northern rallied their way into overtime, but came up short when Shelby Webb of Jamestown scored with three minutes remaining in the overtime period.
The Wolves outshot their opponent 19-to-6 in the close match. Connecting for shots on the day were

Anna Woern. Northern State's defense held the Jimmies to six shots on goal.
NSU returns to action this Sunday in Moorhead at 3 p.m. for their first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game.
