Photo GalleryAberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team continued their hot streak Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Minot State in the 2015 home opener. NSU defeated the Beavers with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, and 25-17. The Wolves improve to 10-0 on the year and 2-0 in league play, while Minot State slides to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the loop.
Kelsey Chambers was an offensive power for the Wolves with 13 kills and a .522 hitting percentage. The senior also racked up five digs, two block assists, and one service ace.

Tori Biach were second in line with nine kills apiece. McGarvie hit .500 with two aces and two block assists, while Biach swung .474 with one service ace.
Northern's 45 team kills were served up by senior setter
Drew Smith, who tallied 41 assists in three sets played. Smith is averaging 13.13 assists per set in 30 sets for the Wolves the season.
Renee Hoffman added the team's final assist for the night, while leading the NSU defense with 12 digs. Hoffman added one service ace.
Annika van Oosbree notched seven digs, while Smith was second on the team with eight.
Kellie Schmit continued to be a power in the middle with eight kills and a .600 hitting percentage. Schmit also teamed up with Chambers and Smith for two block assists in the win. For the fourth straight match, the Wolves held their opponents to a mark under .100 as the Beavers hit .082 with 18 attack errors. The Wolves hit .458 as a team, with their sixth season mark above .400.
The Wolves will remain at home next weekend as No. 1 Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State come to town. NSU will face off with the Bulldogs, Friday at 7 p.m., and return to Wachs Arena Saturday for a 7 p.m. match-up with the Huskies.
