Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team will travel to Wayne State this Saturday for week three of NSIC action. The Wolves and the Wildcats will kick off at 6 p.m. from Memorial Stadium in Wayne.
 
The Wolves enter the weekend 0-2 on the year with losses to Upper Iowa University and No. 1 Minnesota State Mankato. Kyle Lavand moved into the full-time starting role a week ago, running the offense in the Wolves match-up with the Mavericks. Lavand tallied 18 completions, 156 yards passing, and one touchdown. Devin Olson led the NSU defense for the second week straight with 7.5 tackles and 0.5 tackle for a loss. Northern kept their penalty total down in week two and will look to keep that standard this weekend versus the Wildcats.

• Wayne State is led by head coach Dan McLaughlin in his 11th season with the program, where he has tallied a career record of 59-53.
• The Wildcats enter the game 1-1 on the year with a victory over Crookston.
• The WSC rushing game is led by Ryan Ludlow with 184 yards this season and one touchdown. He is one of three Wildcats above 100 yards rushing this season.
