Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University men's basketball team travels to Augustana College and Wayne State College this weekend. Game times are scheduled for Friday, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, at 6 p.m., versus the Vikings and Wildcats. Northern is 18-4 overall and 12-4 in Northern Sun Conference play. 
 
The Wolves enter the weekend after a 1-1 weekend versus Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul. Northern pulled off the buzzer beating victory over the Mavericks in night one. Wolves redshirt freshman, DJ Pollard, was lights out in the men's basketball team's Friday victory over No. 7 Minnesota State Mankato. DJ knocked out a career high 28 points against the Mavericks, shooting 75.0 percent from the floor. Pollard's team leading, five three-point baskets concluded with the game winning, buzzer beater, to put Northern up 73-72. Seth Bachand leads the team in both scoring (14.4) and rebounding (8.0) on the year. Skye Warwick is a threat from beyond the arch, netting a total of 58 3-pointers thus far this season. The Wolves currently average 76.9 points per game, and are shooting 48.0 percent from the floor.
 
The Vikings are ranked 4^th in the nation, averaging 87.2 points per game, while out-scoring their opponents by 19 points a game. Augustana leads the NSIC South with a record of 21-1 overall and 15-1 in league play. Daniel Jansen leads the Augie offense, averaging 19.5 points per game; he is followed by Casey Shilling at 18.4 points and Alex Richter at 15.9 points. Schilling is currently shooting 57.4 percent from the field.
 
The Wildcats sit at the bottom of the NSIC South with a record of 2-14 in the league and 5-17 overall. Wayne notched their second conference victory a weekend ago at University of Mary. Patrick Kurth leads the Wildcat offense, averaging 12.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. WSC averages 71.6 points per game, while shooting 45.0 percent from the floor.
