Live Video | Listen Live Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State women's basketball team will host their first home NSIC matches of the 2015-16 season this weekend against the University of Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State University. Early in the season, the team has compiled an overall record of 5-3, and has gone 1-2 in the conference.
The Wolves continue conference play after a spilt at U-Mary and Minot State a weekend ago. Northern defeated the Marauders 63-49, however fell to the Beavers 69-61. Three Wolves are in double-digit scoring this season, led by
Jill Conrad averaging 12.5 points per game.
Eight games into the season, the Wolves are shooting 42.6 percent from the floor and 70.6 percent from the foul line. Northern is also out-rebounding their opponents by 13 boards a game and out-scoring their opponents 5.6 points per game.

Devon Brecke, as she scored 19 points, went 50.0 percent from field goal range, and notched three three-pointers from beyond the arch in Northern State's most recent exhibition contest versus Dakota Wesleyan.
NSU will tip off against Minnesota Duluth at 6 p.m. on Friday night and face St. Cloud State at 4 p.m. on Saturday evening, with the men's game to follow.
About the University of Minnesota Duluth
•Duluth enters the game 2-4 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC with a two game win streak over Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State.
•UMD is under the direction of head coach Mandy Pearson in her first season with the program. Pearson tallied a 42-13 record while at Saint Mary's prior to accepting the position at Duluth.
•Junior Allyson Harris is leading the Duluth averaging 15.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
•As a unit the Bulldogs are shooting 33.2 percent from the floor, 22.2 percent from 3-point range, and 74.4 percent from the foul line.

•The Huskies are led by head coach Lori Fish in her eighth season with the program.
•Lexy Pertermann and Karissa LeCaptain led the team averaging 13.7 points per game, while LeCaptain is averaging a team leading 8.3 rebounds per game.
•SCSU is shooting 38.7 percent from the floor, 31.2 percent from 3-point range, and 77.3 percent from the foul line.
