Listen LiveAberdeen, S.D. – Monday brings the final non-conference game of the season for NSU men's basketball with an 8 p.m. match-up. The Wolves will face off against Jamestown following the women's game with Dordt College.
Northern enters their final non-conference match-up of the season with a 3-3 record overall and a current two game win streak. The Wolves defeated Presentation College and Chadron State from Wachs Arena over the holiday weekend, 101-66 and 83-63.
Darin Peterka averaged 16 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Wolves in the two wins, while adding seven assists and one steal.
Skye Warwick averaged 18 points for NSU, while
Carter Evans recorded a career high 19 points versus Presentation College.
Mack Arvidson made his first two starts of the season, averaging 14.5 points per game and shooting 55.0% from the floor. The Wolves are currently shooting 47.9% from the floor as a unit, and 33.7 rebounds and 15 assists per game.
About the Jimmies• Presentation is currently 7-3 on the year and on a two game win streak against national ranked opponents in the NAIA.
• The Jimmies are led by head coach Danny Neville in his first season with the program. Neville spent the previous three seasons as the UJ assistant coach.
• UJ is shooting 44.3% from the floor, 32.2% from the arch, and 76.3% from the foul line.
• Jamestown ranks in the top-20 in the NAIA in free throw percentage (76.3%), total assists (151), and total scoring offense (815).
• Leading scorere Brequan Tucker is 10th and 16th in the NAIA in total scoring (214) and total assists (45).
• Tucker is also averaging a team leading 7.3 rebounds per game.
• Jamestown has matched-up with NSIC schools Bemidji State and Minot State this season, falling to the Beavers 91-78 and 75-69.
