Photo GalleryAberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University men's basketball team recorded their second 100 plus game of the season with a 101-66 victory over Presentation College. The Wolves improve to 2-3 on the year heading into the final two non-conference games of the season.
The Wolves played a solid game across the board tallying 41 total rebounds, shooting 43.4 percent from the floor and 70.8 percent from 3-point range.
Spencer Pankonin led the team with four made three-pointers. The senior tallied 16 points, five rebounds, one assist, and one block.
Darin Peterka matched that total with 16 points of his own, and added a six rebounds, one steal, and a team leading five assists.
Carter Evans led the team with 19 points and nine boards, followed by
Skye Warwick with 18 points. Warwick led the team with 12 made free-throws, shooting 100 percent in the game from the foul line.
Michael Schreiber and
Mack Arvidson each tallied double-digit points with 12 and 11 in the win, while
Bo Fries and
Ian Smith added five and four respectively.
Northern both out-shot and out-rebounded the Saints in the win, as PC tallied 37 boards and shot 34.3 percent from the floor. NSU tallied 18 points off of 13 PC turnovers and 13 points off nine offensive boards.
The Wolves broke it open mid-way through the second half going on a 38-17 run in the final ten minutes of play to tally 60 points in the half. Pankonin moved the Wolves over 100 points with his final made 3-pointer of the day, as 12 seconds remained on the clock.

Michael Schreiber, and
Carter Evans each tallied season highs in points scored, while Evans recorded a career high 19. The sophomore also matched his career high with nine rebounds in the win.
The Saints struggled from the arch in the second half with only two made baskets in 14 attempts. They shot 26.7 percent from the arch in the loss.
Northern will be back in action tomorrow from Wachs Arena, hosting Chadron State College at 6:30 p.m. The Wolves will remain at home for a Monday match-up with Jamestown at 8 p.m. following the NSU women versus Dordt College.
