Moorhead, Minn.- The NSU women's basketball team started NSIC competition tonight from the Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse on the Minnesota State University Moorhead campus. The Wolves fell to the Dragons 59-66 in the match-up and are now 4-2 on the year. MSUM picks up their fourth consecutive win and improves to 4-0 in the 2015-16 season.
Senior
Devon Brecke led the offensive attack for the Wolves, tallying a team high 15 points, shooting 33.3 percent from three point range, going 4-4 from the free throw line and tallying four assists.

Jill Conrad and
Miranda Ristau also finished the match in double-digit points for Northern State, scoring 12, 11 and 10 points respectively.
Although Northern State held the largest lead in the game, up by eight points at 7:03 in the second quarter, they were unable to muster a come back as they started the fourth quarter down 47-49.
Morgan Banasik of Minnesota State Moorhead recorded 18 total points and nabbed four steals. As a team, MSUM swiped 12 total steals to NSU's five in the game.
The Wolves connected for a 40.0 field goal percentage, a 41.7 three-point percentage and a 90.9 free throw percentage all together, topping MSUM in all three categories. However, the Dragons had the advantage outrebounding Northern State 39-36, picking up 18 second chance points and 24 points off of turnovers.
Northern State women's basketball will play their first home match of the season on Monday, November 30
th, taking on Dordt College in the exhibition game. Tip off will be at 6:00 p.m. from Wachs Arena.
