Aberdeen, S.D.- The Wolves soccer team defeated the University of Mary this afternoon by a final score of 4-0 to extend their winning streak to three games. Northern State advances to 8-8-1 overall and 6-7-1 in the NSIC, while the University of Mary falls to 2-12-2 overall and 2-11-1 in the conference.
The Wolves started their offensive attack early, drawing a penalty kick in the 9
th minute of play. Senior defender,
Amelia Taylor, attempted the kick from the top of the box and drilled the ball to the right of the Marauder goalkeeper, Baily Wenz, for the first goal of the game.
Midfielder
Anna Bondy heated up in the 41
st minute of play when she received a pass from
Darian Leschewski down the left side of the field and connect for a goal to put the Wolves up 2-0. Bondy continued to put pressure on the Marauder's defense, as she placed another goal in the net just minutes later.
In the middle of the second half, senior
Amber Wanous set up a free kick to
Anna Bondy who was there to record her third goal of the game, completing the hat trick. Northern State defenders

Andrea Boisner,
Amber Wanous,
Alexis Lewis and
Sydney Shintaffer held the University of Mary to 11 shots in the match. Goalkeeper,
Brittany Tietz also added two saves to her career save record, and completed her second consecutive shutout in two games.
The two teams attempted an even five corner kicks, but the Wolves outshot the Marauders 17-11.
Anna Bondy recorded four shots and three goals,
Allie Macdonald tallied three shots and an assist, and
Amelia Taylor attempted two shots and connected for one goal on the day.
Northern State will travel to Minot to take on the Beavers at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
