Bemidji, Minn. – Saturday proved to be yet another solid outing for the Northern State University volleyball team, as they defeated Bemidji State 3-0 on the road. The Wolves improved to 15-0 overall and 7-0 in the NSIC, while the Beavers dropped to 4-12 on the year and 2-5 in league action.
The Wolves tallied set wins of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-15. Each team had their runs throughout the match, however the Wolves broke away and did not look back.
Kelsey Chambers led the team with 12 kills and added five digs and one service ace.
Cari McGarvie had the hot hand with a match leading .471 attack percentage. The senior was close behind Chambers with ten kills of her own, alongside two digs, two service aces, and two blocks.
Mandy Kurosky was the third and final Wolf in double digits with ten kills. Kurosky also hit well in the game with a .444 mark.
Northern hit .237 as a team, while holding the Beavers to a .071 mark. The match marks the tenth time this season that they Wolves have held their opponents under .100. The Wolves combined for 40 kills on the night, to Bemidji State's 25.

Renee Hoffman led the defensive effort with 12 digs, followed by senior setter
Drew Smith with eight. Smith added 37 assists and two blocks in three sets played.
Tori Biach and
Kellie Schmit each tallied four kills, while Biach added five digs on defense.
Annika van Oosbree notched seven digs of the team's 46 in the match.
The Wolves continue their road trip next weekend, heading to Upper Iowa and Winona State. NSU will open the weekend Friday at 7 p.m. versus the Peacocks, and then face the Warriors at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
