Box Score Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University soccer team fell in their opening match of the weekend, 1-2, against St. Cloud State. The Wolves drop to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference heading into Sunday soccer play. 
The Wolves were down 0-1 early in the first half after a Huskie goal, at the nine minute mark. Each team recorded only one shot on goal in the first 45 minutes of play. Northern had their opportunities with six total shots in the period and four corner kicks. 
Anna Bondy answered back for the Wolves in period two with her fourth goal of the season, at the twenty minute mark. Bondy was served up by 
Andrea Boisner, and took on two defenders to net the Wolves first score of the game. The goal however, did not hold up as SCSU answered back with ten minutes remaining in the game. 
Northern was unable to tie the score at two all and fell in the contest. 
Brittany Tietz notched five saves, four of which came in the second half, in the match-up keeping Northern's hopes alive. 
NSU will be back in action tomorrow from Jerde Field as they take on Minnesota Duluth. Game time is set for 1 p.m. between the two squads.
