Photo GalleryThe Northern State volleyball team was swept by seventh-ranked Southwest Minnesota State Saturday afternoon in Aberdeen. Set scores went 25-21, 25-17 and 25-16. The Mustangs (13-5, 8-2 NSIC) hit .405 in the match while NSU (12-6, 5-5 NSIC) hit .252.
Kelsey Chambers had a big match for the Wolves as she led the team with 19 kills and hit a team-best .486.
Mandy Kurosky had 10 kills and hit .333 in the loss.
Tori Biach led the Wolves with three block assists.
Holly Vancura led NSU with 35 assists against SMSU. She also added five digs and two blocking assists.
Annika van Oosbree led the team with 10 digs while
Hailey Busch added nine and had Northern's lone service ace.
The Wolves have three matches next week, all on the road. Tuesday, Northern heads to play Minot State in a 7 p.m. match. NSU swept the Beavers back in September at the NSU Dacotah Bank Volleyball Classic.
