Box Score ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State put their three-point shooting touch to work Friday night, drilling 11 treys en-route to a big 79-61 win over the visiting Minot State Beavers Friday evening in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's basketball action.

The 11 three-pointers were two shy of a season high for the Wolves, who snapped a four-game skid and secured the No. 2 seed in the NSIC North Division for the upcoming conference tournament, which begins next Wednesday.  The Wolves are now 18-10 overall and 13-8 in the loop.  MISU falls to 10-15 on the season and 9-12 in league play.

Northern State hit 6 of 14 treys in the opening half of Friday's game - the first of two nights in which NSU rolled back the clock and claimed the Civic Arena as their home court for the weekend.  Freshman Skye Warwick was 3-for-5 with the long ball in the opening half and finished the night going 5-for-9 and a career-high 15 points.

Junior Jared Hannigan, an Aberdeen Central graduate with playing experience in the Civic Arena, hit a trey in each half and finished with 11 points, while Collin Pryor was 6-for-7 from the free throw line and led all scorers with 16 points.

Minot State kept things close in the first half, but a three-point play by Hannigan followed by the junior's second trey of the night gave NSU a double-digit lead with 16:07 left to play.  The Beavers cut it to eight, but a 15-4 NSU run that featured three-balls from Warwick, fellow freshman Mack Arvidson and sophomore Mitch White put the Wolves firmly in the driver's seat leading 58-39 with just under 11 minutes left to play.  Minot State would get no closer than 18 the rest of the way.

NSU closes out the regular season against U-Mary tomorrow night before turning its attention to post-season play.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. in the Civic Arena.  The Wolves will honor their seniors prior to tip.
