The Northern State volleyball team's nine-match winning streak came to an end Saturday afternoon as the 23
rd-ranked Wolves fell to No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul 3-0 on the road. Set scores went 25-21, 25-19 and 25-19.
Jussy Tuscherer led the Wolves offense with nine kills and a .375 hitting percentage in the loss. Tuscherer also had a team-high 11 digs and was just short of her second-straight double-double of the weekend. Tuscherer also added two block assists.
Kelsey Chambers added eight kills and a pair of blocks while
Cari McGarvie had seven kills and led the Wolves with five total blocks.
Drew Smith had 28 assists from her setter position in the match while
Sami Nygaard and
Renee Hoffman each had 10 digs for NSU. Nygaard also had the Wolves' lone ace against the Golden Bears.
For the match, Northern hit just .139 while CU hit .218. The loss drops Northern to 19-4 on the season and 12-4 in NSIC play.
The Wolves continue their four-match road trip next weekend as they travel to face 18
th-ranked Wayne State in a 7 p.m. match Nov. 7 and will face-off with Augustana at 4 p.m. on Nov. 8.
