MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Northern State Wolves picked up two pins and a major decision, but could not overcome five straight victories by the host Minnesota State Moorhead Dragons, falling 30-16 in Wednesday night's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opening dual.

The meet was originally scheduled for last Saturday but was pushed back due to weather and travel conditions.

MSU Moorhead won the first five matches of the night to take a commanding lead before NSU senior and top-ranked Matt Meuleners scored a major decision to stem the tide.  Anthony Bruno followed that up with a win by fall at 125 pounds

The Dragons claimed wins at 133 and 141 pounds to ice the win, but NSU freshman Grant Steen got one last lick in for the Wolves with a win-by-fall at 149 pounds to close out the night.

The Wolves are back in action on Saturday, competing in the inaugural Nebraska-Kearney Duals.
