MITCHELL, S.D. - Northern State won seven of ten matches, including pins at 125 and 184 pounds, to claim a 27-9 win on the road over the host Dakota Wesleyan Tigers Wednesday night in non-conference dual action. NSU, which is receiving votes in the latest NCAA Division II poll, moved to 2-0 in duals this season.
Anthony Bruno kicked off the night with a pin at 125 pounds for NSU. Two Tiger wins later, the teams were knotted at five points apiece and the Wolves took control of the match from there. NSU won six of the final seven matches of the night, a streak broken only by a Tiger win at 174 pounds.

Blake Lundgren recorded wins for the Wolves at 149, 157 and 165 pounds. Senior
Chad Gibson sparked the second NSU streak with a pin at 184 pounds, followed up by a decision from
Baker Haar at 197 pounds. Top-ranked and 2-time defending national champion
Matt Meuleners capped the night with an 18-7 major decision win at 285 pounds.
Northern State continues dual meet action on Saturday as the Wolves return home to face Chadron State in another non-conference tilt. Action begins at 4 p.m. in Wachs Arena.
