ABERDEEN, S.D. -
The Northern State Wolves did not commit an attacking error until 33 points into their night, finishing the night with just eight on the night and a blistering a .340 percentage at the net en-route to a three-set sweep of Bemidji State Friday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference volleyball action.  NSU made quick work of the win with 25-9, 25-13 and 25-9 set victories.

The win moves NSU to 17-10 overall and 12-7 in NSIC play.  The 17 wins marks the most in a single season since the 2006 season when NSU finished the season at 17-14.  The Wolves have won 11 of their last 13 matches.  BSU slipped to 4-22 overall and 2-17 in conference action.

NSU set the pace early, racking up 14 kills on 26 attempts without an error in the first set, then sprinted out to an early 8-0 lead in the second before committing their first offense at the net to make it 8-1.  The Wolves finished the set with four errors and committed the same number in the third, but overcame with scrappy defense that included eight total team blocks that kept Bemidji State and a sub-zero hitting percentage.

NSU racked up 41 total kills on the night to BSU's 18.  Senior libero Ella Campbell notched 19 digs, while the Wolves recorded eight total blocks - six from freshman Cari McGarvie - to help keep the Beavers off balance.

Offensively, sophomore Macey Finizio led all players with 15 kills, followed by freshman Kelsey Chambers with a hard-hitting 10 kills.  Senior Kaleinani Kabalis had seven kills and 13 digs in the effort, while Drew Smith doled out 32 assists, two service aces, two blocks and seven digs.

Bemidji State was led by Rachel Craig and Bethany Thompson with five kills apiece.  Courtney Volkmann had 14 assists and seven digs.

The Wolves remain on their home court to close out the regular season tomorrow afternoon.  NSU will host Minnesota, Crookston in the season finale before turning its attention to the post-season.  NSU's final tournament seeding will be determined after tomorrow's action.  First serve is set for 3 p.m. in Wachs Arena.
