SETTING THE STAGE: NSU returns home for the first of their final four home games this weekend, hosting MSU Moorhead and Minnesota, Crookston in a pair of key NSIC match-ups. With the wins, NSU vaulted into a tie for tenth in the conference standings and can still make a run at an NSIC tournament berth with a pair of wins this weekend.
LAST MEETING: NSU downed UMC 75-65 on the road back on Jan. 8, but fell to the Dragons in a heartbreaker 71-72 the following night. The Wolves had a chance for a last second shot, but fell short of the mark.
LAST TIME OUT: The Wolves won back-to-back games for the first time since winning five straight to start the year with victories over Minnesota-Duluth and Bemidji State last weekend. The road sweep was NSU's first since the first weekend of February 2010 when the Wolves went on the road to beat Upper Iowa and Winona State.
WHO 2 WATCH 4: Collin Pryor averaged 21.0 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting the ball at a blazing 72.0 percent clip to lead the Wolves to back-to-back wins on the road for the first time since winning five straight to start the season. Pryor registered a 23-point, 13-rebound double-double on Friday night, his ninth such effort of the year, to launch the Wolves to a 72-61 win over Minnesota Duluth. He came back with another 19 points and six boards on Saturday against Bemidji State, scoring three of NSU's NSIC record-tying 39 free throws in the process and helping NSU to an 84-82 win. For the weekend, Pryor scored 42 points, snagged 19 rebounds and had eight steals while going 18-for-25 from the floor. He was named the NSIC Player of the Week for his efforts.
