ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State Men's basketball (3-0, 0-0 NSIC) team accomplished something that had not been done since the 1960-61, as the Wolves held the visiting cross-town opponents to just 42 points in the 86-42 victory against the Presentation College Saints (1-2, 0-0 UMAC).
The Wolves held Ellendale College to 42 points in the 72-42 victory in the 1960 game, when Bob Wachs was the coach for the Wolves.
51 years later, the Wolves took the lead 3-2 at the 18:34 and didn't relinquish the lead except for a tie game at 17 apiece with 9:46 remaining in the first half to take the victory.
The Wolves jumped to a 43-24 lead at halftime, which wouldn't be challenged the rest of the way.
The Wolves held the visiting Saints to just 28 percent on 18-64 shooting. The Wolves were helped with their second straight game of at least 50 percent shooting, as the Wolves went 35-65 for 54 percent.

Dustin Tetzlaff, with his second game of 20 -10 game of the season, as he scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Collin Pryor had 12 points, while freshman
Michael Emge chipped in 11 points to round out the Wolves in double figures.
The Wolves were also helped with eight blocks in the contest, as sophomore
Trent Zomer had three blocked shots to go along with his eight points and eight rebounds.
The Wolves also won the battle of the boards grabbing 45 rebounds to 35 for the Saints.
Sophomore
Tydan Storrusten helped the Wolves cause with six assists and seven points on 2-3 shooting.
The Wolves return to action on Saturday, November 26, in the final nonconference tune-up of the season as the Wolves take on Mayville State in a 7 p.m. matchup at Wachs Arena in Aberdeen.
