SETTING THE STAGE: The Wolves opened 2011-12 season with
two victories for the first time since 2007-08. The Wolves will play
Black Hills State University for the first time since 1999. That year
the Wolves and the Yellow Jackets played twice, both NSU victories.
The second meeting came as NSU was ranked #21 in NCAA DII in
a 80-44 victory. The Wolves will take on South Dakota Tech for
the first time since the 1984-85 season when Bob Olson was the
women's head coach. The Wolves won that meeting 78-49.

SIZING UP THE COMPETITION:
Black Hills State University (1-1) opened their season with a loss
to College of the Ozarks and a victory over John Brown University
in Missouri. In the victory, senior Kristi Ryan had 27 points to lead
the Yellowjackets while making six 3-point baskets.
South Dakota Tech (0-2) opened their season with losses to College
of the Ozarks and John Brown University. Hillary Hawkins is the
Lady Hardrockers leading scoring, averaging 12 points a contest
