FAYETTE, Iowa – One day after leading the Wolves to their first road win over Winona State in nearly five years, Northern State University senior
Mitch Boeck carried the Wolves to yet another huge road win on Saturday, scoring a career-high 37 points in NSU's 72-64 win over Upper Iowa University in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's basketball action.
Boeck scored all sixteen of the Wolves' points in the final five minutes of the half while coming up with several key steals down the stretch to help seal the victory. The career-high 37 point effort was well above his previous best of 28 points, set earlier this season. He also aided his cause with a solid 12-for-14 effort from the free throw line.
NSU, now an even 11-11 overall and 7-8 in NSIC play, moves into a tie for eighth in the conference standings with the victory, their fourth straight road win. The Peacocks, meanwhile, slipped to 10-12 on the year and are also locked in at 7-8 in league action.
