ABERDEEN, S.D. – With the announced retirement of Northern State University men's basketball coach Don Meyer, NSU athletic officials have announced plans for Saturday night's men's and women's basketball games.  The Wolves take on Southwest Minnesota State in a pair of key Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match-ups.  The women will tip off at 6 p.m. with the men to follow.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. on Saturday, one hour earlier than normal, while the NSU Bookstore will open its doors from 2 to 4 p.m.  NSU has also designated Saturday's game as a franchise game.  All ticket prices for that day will increase by $1.

There will also be a special celebration ceremony between games, which will include the unveiling of a marble bust of Meyer.  The bust was completed by nationally-recognized sculptor and NSU artist in residence Benjamin Victor. The project was a donation by John and Laurie Schwan of Schwan Financial Group, LLC.

Following the completion of the men's game, Meyer will address the fans before speaking to media representatives.

NSU seniors Lennea Mueller and Mitch Boeck will also be honored prior to tip-off of their respective games.
