ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team took their in-state rival #13 Augustana College to the breaking point, but were not able to pull off the upset Saturday at Wachs Arena, as the visitors won the match by a 28-21 final.

With the loss, the Wolves fall to 3-8 on the year and 0-5 in the NSIC.

The Wolves earned four victories on the night, including the first two that came by pinfalls.  At 125, Corbin Surat put Alex Meger's shoulders to the mat at 4:29 in the match, and Jimmy Marx followed Surat's victory by showing Jason Jeremiason the same courtesy at 4:38 in their match in the 133 pound dual.

Dionnie Bowden earned a victory over Brian Schultz at 174 pounds by earning a gutsy 5-2 decision that went every bit the distance.  And finally, after Augustana had wrapped up the victory with their pinfall victory at 197 pounds, Jared Little was able to win via forfeit in the final match of the night.

The Wolves are next in action on Wednesday, February 18th, when they take on the University of Mary Marauders at the Barnett Center.  The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
