Vikings Spoil Parent's Night

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University women's volleyball team fell to the visiting Augustana College Vikings Saturday at Wachs Arena, by a score of 3-1. The Wolves are now 9-3 on the season and 1-2 in the NSIC.  The match featured many of the Wolves team members parents dressed up in 70's-era clothing.

 

The Wolves won the first set 25-22, but then lost the next three by scores of 18-25, 19-25, and 18-25. Leading the way for the Wolves on offense were Melanie Perez and Jill Rasmussen who accounted for 30 (16 and 14 respectively) of the Wolves' 50 kills on the afternoon. Megan Gilbraith shelled out 39 assists to go with 12 digs, and Stephanie Nygaard added 35 digs in the loss.

The Wolves are next in action on Tuesday, September 23rd, when they travel to Bemidji, Minn. to take on the Bemidji State Beavers at 7:00 pm.
