BISMARK, N.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team continued its hot streak to start the 2008 campaign with a 3-0 win over the University of Mary to start their conference schedule. The win brings the Wolves to an impressive overall record of 9-1, and gets them off to a 1-0 record in the conference.

The Wolves won by scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 26-24.

Senior Melanie Perez led the Wolves' front-line with 10 kills, and senior line-mates Jill Rasmussen and Kelsey Aden each chipped-in nine. Megan Gilbraith once again paced the offense with 33 assists, and added ten digs. Stephanie Nygaard held up the defensive end with 23 digs.

The Wolves come home to Wachs Arena for two matches this weekend, including a Friday night tilt against Wayne State and a showdown on Saturday with #20 Augustana College.
