#16 Bulldogs Too Much for Wolves

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team ran into a tough #16 Minnesota-Duluth team Saturday at Wachs Arena, and fell to the nationally ranked opponent by a score of 3-0.  Set scores for the match were 19-25, 9-25, 14-25.

The Wolves were led on offense by Kayla Ysteboe with 10 kills, and she was followed by Becka Meiser with seven.  Melanie Perez recorded five kills as well as nine digs on defense.  Megan Gilbraith paced the offense with 24 assists, and she also contributed two digs and one kill on the afternoon.  Steph Nygaard led the defense with 14 digs.

BOX SCORE

With the loss, the Wolves fall to 13-8 overall, and 4-8 in the NSIC.  They are next in action on October 24th, when they take on #1 Concordia University in St. Paul, Minn. on Friday, and then on Saturday, take on the Huskies of St. Cloud State.

Northern State is a NCAA Division-II member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is located in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
