ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team saw its three-game winning-streak snapped Tuesday by a feisty Minnesota State University-Moorhead team by a 3-0 score. Set scores were 24-26, 25-27, and 17-25. With the loss, the Wolves fall to 12-8 overall and 3-7 in the NSIC and the Dragons improve to 10-12 overall and 4-6 in league play. The Wolves get another shot at the Dragons this season, as the two teams play in Moorhead, Minn. on October 31st.
Jill Rasmussen led the Wolves with 10 kills and also chipped in six digs on defense. Whitney Morshing accounted for eight kills, one assist, one dig, and five total blocks (one solo), and
Melanie Perez ended her night with seven kills and eight digs.
Megan Gilbraith led the offense with 34 assists as well as helping out the defensive effort with 11 digs, and
Stephanie Nygaard led all Wolves with 20 digs, while chipping in two assists.

The Wolves have a home-stand this weekend, and will face off against Bemidji State on Friday, a team they have a 1-1 record against on the year. Saturday, #16 Minnesota-Duluth comes to town to tussle with the Wolves, and the two teams have not faced each other in 2008.
