Hall Named NSIC Player of the Week

11/19/2007 1:43:49 PM

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Senior forward Noelle Hall (Altura, Minn.) has been honored with the season's first women's basketball NSIC Player of the Week award, announced today by the Northern Sun Conference office.  Hall scored a career high 33 points and shot 77.8 percent from the field (14-of-18) in Northern's 76-66 win over Colorado Christian on Saturday afternoon.  This is the highest single game scoring mark for an NSU player since Julie Jenson hit 40 in 1992-93.

In addition to posting the highest scoring mark in 15 years, Hall's 33 points marked the first time since 1999-00 that the 30-point mark had been broken.

Hall averaged a double-double in Northern's two wins last weekend.  She added 11 rebounds against the Cougars of Colorado Christian, ten of which came in NSU's second half comeback.  Against the Colorado School of Mines, Hall had 13 points and ten rebounds.  Combined, the senior averaged 23 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 61.3 percent from the field and 80 percent from the charity stripe.

The Wolves will need continued strong play from Hall and all other players as they host the University of North Dakota in their 2007-08 home opener on Tuesday evening.  The game will tip off at 6:00 p.m.
