Burkhalter won two events at the NSU Dewey Donat Classic over the weekend, racing in 30-40 mph winds. The freshman tallied his first win in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:09.72. Burkhalter then added a win in the 800m with a time of 2:13.23.
