Jon Evenson won the javelin on Friday with a winning toss of 54.42 meters (178-06) at the NSU Open.  That mark, the best of the day by 13 inches, puts him fourth on the NSIC list.  Evenson is the 2-time defending conference champion in that event.  He was also third in the discus with a mark of 41.00 meters.
