TJ Hochstetler sat fifth with 2751 points through four events on the first day of the NSIC Indoor Championships. He recorded marks of 7.35 in the 60m dash, 10.91m in the shot put, 6.59m in the long jump, and 1.92m in the high jump. Hochstetler recorded personal bests in the 60m dash and in the shot put. He also recorded a season best in long jump. On day two of the Championships, he recorded marks of 8.60 in the 60m hurdles, 4.50m in the pole vault, and 2:50.11 in the 1000m run. The marks in the pole vault and the 1000m run were personal bests for Hochstetler. He won the pole vault in the heptathlon, defeating his next closest opponent by 0.20m. Hochstetler took second in the heptathlon with 5,111 total points. He was just 30 points shy of the Northern State school record, and tallied a national provisional mark.
