Skachendo ran to a fifth place finish in the 400m at her first collegiate meet with a time of 1:00.22. She was a member of the winning 4x400m relay that finished in 4:08.97. The freshman ranks tenth in the event in the Northern Sun. Her 4x400m relay team ranks second in the league standings.
