Kyle Everson begins his first year with the Northern State University and Sanford Sports Medicine in 2025-26. He will serve as the primary trainer for the soccer and track and field teams.
Everson is no stranger to Aberdeen, serving as a certified athletic trainer with Avera St. Luke’s Hospital since 2002. With Avera, Everson worked in a variety of athletic training roles at both the collegiate and high school levels, making stops at Aberdeen Central High School, Aberdeen Christian High School, Northwestern High School, Leola/Fredrick High School, Northern State, and Trinity Bible College. At the Avera Human Performance Center, Everson’s duties included personal training, supervising lifetime resiliency program, return to competition for athletes after surgery, functional testing, and speed/ agility training.
Everson is a certified athletic trainer and licensed in both South Dakota and North Dakota. He holds additional certifications in CPR, FMS, FCS, YBT, and SFMA.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from South Dakota State University. Everson enjoys hunting, fishing, triathlons, hiking and camping with his wife Michelle and kids Alexia, Maggie, Addison and James.
