Dr. Kendall Vogel joins Sanford Health and the Wolves, serving student-athletes from all 15 intercollegiate programs.

The team physician is responsible for the medical care and treatment of athletes at all ages and levels of participation. The team doctor completes pre-participation evaluation/participation determination, oversees sideline preparedness, including emergency action plan, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use, evaluates and recommends/oversees treatment for acute sports injuries, evaluates and treats acute medical issues due to disease and environment, and is the individual who has overall authority for return to sport decisions.

Vogel is a board-certified Family and Sports Medicine Physician, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and History from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2012, followed by a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University–Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017.

After completing a Family Medicine Residency at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida (2017–2020), Dr. Vogel pursued advanced training in Sports Medicine through the NCC Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Fort Belvoir, Virginia (2020–2021).
 
Dr. Vogel holds board a certification in Family Medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) and, a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
 
After his fellowship, Dr. Vogel began practice at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia, where he established their first primary care sports medicine clinic to provide general health care, injury assessment, diagnosis, treatment and return to combat for servicemen. During his time in Georgia, he was deployed to support the Special Operations Task Force North & West Africa as Deputy Command Surgeon. He provided clinical oversight for nine special forces medics as well as logistics for medical supplies, medical evacuations, and services to his region.
 
Dr. Vogel and his wife Allie have two children, Audrey and Aria. They enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, hunting and fishing, and are looking forward to becoming ingrained in the Aberdeen community.
