Dr. James Johnston practices podiatry, specializing in:

• Foot and ankle surgery
• Diabetic wound care
• Foot and ankle trauma

In addition to working at the clinic and hospital, he provides sports medicine care for Northern State University athletes.

Dr. Johnston plays an active role in the medical community by serving as the surgery operations chair and sits on the South Dakota State Podiatry Scientific Committee.

James Johnston, DPM, received his medical degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. He completed his residency at UCSF San Francisco VA Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Johnston is a foot and ankle expert, specializing in foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine injuries, and trauma. He enjoys hunting, Crossfit, and spending time with his wife and children.
