A South Dakota native, Dr. McDaniel graduated from Sisseton high school and received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from South Dakota State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. During his time at SDSU, Dr. McDaniel worked primarily with Jacks Football. He attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo. and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at McLaren Oakland in Pontiac, Mich.
