2008-2009: Battled through injuries at 165 pounds to finish year with a 7-10 record overall and a 3-4 dual record...2009 NCAA Championships participant...finished fourth at the 2009 NCAA North Regional...
2007-08: Downs split the year competing at 157 lbs and 165 lbs and finished the year with a 11-5 record overall and a 9-3 mark in duelmatches. Downs had a solid performance at the Central Missouri Duals going 2-1 on the day with a win by pinfall in the SI-Edwardsville dual.
2006-07: Went 15-13 in his first full season of competition ... marked an 8-7 record in duals ... took fifth place at both the DWU and Jimmie Opens.
2005-06: 5-6 wrestling at Open tournaments ... was an NSU redshirt.
Pre-NSU: Wrestled at 145 pounds at Madison High School in Madison, S.D. ... compiled a 108-53 career mark ... holds the single season near fall record ... in 2005, he went 40-3 and finished third at State ... ayear prior he was fifth at state.
