Prep: Sammie Zgutowicz is a 5-foot-5, midfielder out of St. Francis High School. She is a 5-year varsity player, 2-year starter, and 2-year team captain for the Saints under head coach Joan Johnson. In her senior season, Zgutowicz notched 14 goals and 13 assists en route to being honored with the schools Athena Award. She was named 2015 All-State Academic, 2015 All-Conference, and is a 2-time All-Conference Honorable Mention pick. The Saints tallied their best season in school history last fall with a 13-4-1 record, while reaching the MSHSL section final game. Zgutowicz is also a record setting basketball player for the Saints and is a member of the National Honor Society and For Jake's Sake Foundation. She is the daughter of Rindy and John Zgutowicz. She also plays for Centennial Premier SC.
