Pre NSU: Hanson was a two-time Second Team All-State selection for Head Coach Kelly Kalina at Fargo North High School. Hanson was also a two-time All-Conference selection for the Spartans. This past season, Hanson recorded 34 total tackles including five for loss. Hanson is also a State Wrestling Champion, a four-year academic letter winner, a member of the National Honor Society and a Student Ambassador.
