Prep:Trefethren was a First Team All-State honoree for the Bruins and Head Coach Troy Mattern. Trefethren was a two-time all-conference selection and helped lead the Bruins to a state title in 2013 and runner-up finishes in 2012 and 2014. Trefethren also participated in track and field and his brother, Tyler also plays football at Northern.
