2023: Appeared in ten games for the Wolves as a pinch runner and hitter, while also making three appearances on the mound… At the plate he recorded a .333 batting average, .333 on-base percentage, .667 slugging percentage, and a 1.000 on-base plus slugging percentage… Totaled one hit in three at-bats with a double, one RBI, and two runs scored… Tallied a 1.000 fielding percentage with one assist, while helping turn one double play… As a pitcher he threw 3.0 innings and held opponents to a .286 batting average… Notched three strikeouts, including a season-high of two against Minnesota State…

Prep: Jonah Schmidt is a 6-foot-4, infielder and right-handed pitcher out of Mitchell High School. He was a 3-year starter for the Kernels under the direction of head coach Luke Norden. Schmidt was a part of two state runner-up teams at Mitchell (2019 and 2022) and was a 2-time first team all-state selection (2021 and 2022).  At the plate he hit .402 and .449 his junior and senior seasons, and recorded an ERA of 3.35 and 3.5 in 2021 and 2022 while totaling 72 strikeouts on the mound. He is the son of Jeff and Ann Schmidt.
