Prep: Brandon Kusler is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound infielder out of Aberdeen Central High School. He is a 2-year starter for the Aberdeen Smittys Legion program. In 2017, Kusler hit .333 with 72 hits, 52 RBI, 62 runs scored, and two homeruns. He was named the Aberdeen American News Athlete of the Week, as the Smittys finished in the final four of the state tournament. Kusler is also a member of the Aberdeen Central soccer and basketball teams where he is a state champion and runner-up. He is the son of Jay and Connie Kusler, former Northern State baseball and basketball student-athletes, and brother of current Wolves basketball player Brianna Kusler.
