2024-25: Competed in 14 meets for the Wolves… Recorded personal bests of 1:36.41 in the 600m, 2:55.87 in the 1000m, 4:58.09 in the 1500m, 59.68 in the 400m, and 2:13.43 in the 800m… Won the 4x400m and 800m at the SD Mines Dual, the 4x400m and 800m at the Jamestown Dual, the 1000m at the SDSU Indoor Classic, the 800m at the Red Raider Open, and the 800m at the Mount Marty Twilight… Notched 18 top-10 finishes on the year… Earned All-Conference by taking second in the 1000m at the NSIC Indoor Championship… Scored team points by taking fourth in the 800m at the NSIC Outdoor Championship… Broke the Northern State school record in the 800m (2:16.28) and 1000m (2:55.87)… Member of breaking the Northern State school record in the sprint medley relay (4:07.64) and in the distance medley relay (12:23.39)… Honored the Myles Brand All-Academic Award… Honored NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence… Honored on CSC Academic All-District…

2022-23: Ran to personal bests of 1:02.25 in the 400m and 2:18.70 in the 800m… Tallied 20 top-10 finishes on the year…

2021-22: Recorded personal bests of 1:04.01 in the indoor 400m, 2:22.42 in the indoor 800m, and 1:38.03 in the indoor 600m… Tallied 13 top-10 finishes on the year…

Season and Career Bests

Prep: Summer Carlson is a middle distance runner out of Moorhead High School. She was a 3-year letter winner for the Spuds under the direction of head coach Ron Davies. Carlson holds personal bests of 60.58 in the 400m and 2:20.00 in the 800m. In 2019, she was a member of the seventh place 4x400m relay team at the Minnesota State meet. She is the daughter of Jill and Joel Carlson and will also be a member of the Northern State soccer team.
